Dr.D.Y.Patil
Kala,Krida,Shaikshanik & Sanskrutik Trust, Kolhapur is
registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 (Bombay Act No.29 of
1950).
The Trust accredits its
origin and foundation to the efforts of individuals who strongly
felt the need to provide the basic and social welfare facilities
to the people from the remote parts of the district.The Trust is
working for the welfare of the poor,needy peoples and for the
socio-economically weaker sections of the community. The prime
object of Trust is to promote art & sport,provide good educational
infrastructure to the students and restore cultural
heritage.DYP.Trust is doing well in the field of Art by organizing
exhibition of rising artists.Sports Tournaments are also organized
to bring forth good sports personalities.Educational Adoption is a
concept brought forward in district; trust accepts educational
adoption of the students who are unable to bear the cost of higher
education.DYP Trust also felicitates Elder Citizens,Aanganwadi
Sevika (Workers)and joint Family members who are setting new
milestones in the modern digital age.Apart from this,Trust is
promoting Self Help Groups of women and helping them to increase
their productivity as well as family earnings by organizing
professional trainings & exhibitions.
The major Activities of the
trust include :
Student Adoption
Trust accepts educational adoption of the students who
have secured place in the merit list of Secondary & Higher
Secondary Examinations,but unable to go ahead due to economic
barrier. The educational expenses of such students are borne by
DYP Trust ensuring that financial conditions don't stop a student
from achieving success.
Gruhini Mahotsav
DYP Trust has been organizing”
Gruhini
Mahotsav”-festival of housewives-engaged in producing domestic
household/food products through Self Help Groups(SHG).Since last
four years,our trust organizes the Festival on the occasion of
international Women’s Day on 8th March,to uplift the
rural as well as urban women to encourage & explore their hidden
abilities.Many prominent personalities and successful women
officers,business personalities have visited the Festival and
appreciated the move.
Training Programme for Women
DYP Trust is continuously taking training programmes to
encourage hidden abilities of women under Self Help
Group(SHG)Scheme.They have been trained in the field of their
interests.
AIDS
Awareness & Blood Donation Camp
DYP Trust is also engaged in organizing AIDS awareness
programme in association with the students of D.Y.Patil Medical
College by taking road shows.Several Blood Donation Camps are
also organised.
Cultural & Social Programmes
DYP Trust also organizes different cultural programmes
viz.”Bahurupi Pu La” Hindi Hasya Kavi Sammelan-a laughter poets
social programme.
Joint Family Awards
DYP Trust is rejuvenating the concept of joint Family
Culture in the present day society.Every year Trust distributes
“Ekatra Kutumb Puraskar”for the Best Joint Family in the
District.It helps to restore the age-old culture in the modern age
of Science and Technology.
Cricket
DYP Trust has been organizing Cricket Tournaments since
1992 in commemoration of Yashwantrao Bhaurao Patil.In the month
of December Trust organizes Y.B.Patil Trophy tournament in state
level Many teams across the state and surrounding states
participate in this tournament.
Hockey
DYP Trust also organizes Hockey Tournament at
Kolhapur.Many Government & Private teams across the district
participate in the tournament.
Personality Development Camp
DYP Trust takes Personality Development Camps for
students in summer holidays.Students learn all kinds of extra
curricular activities, like horse riding, swimming, wrestling,
gymnastic, etc.
Aptitude test
DYP Trust takes aptitude testes to carve the future of the
student who are expected the results of their Secondary School
Certificate Examination.On the results of test,we assist them to
choose the right way of success for their bright career.
Career Guidance Festival
DYP Trust has organised many career Guidance Festivals to
introduce many ways of learning,training and job opportunities
available for a bright career Many have benefited by the Festival.
Appreciation
Every year DYP Trust organizes a programme to appreciate
the students who have secured place in the merit list of Secondory
and Higher Secondary Examinations.Students across the district
attend the function. We felicitate them at the hands of High
Profile Officers like Collector,District Superintendent of
Police,etc.OPfficers who attended the programme could not stop
themselvels to interact with the students.Students as well as
Guests/Officers also expressed their thankfulness to Trust for
organizing such programme.
Other Activities
- Felicitation of Elder Citizens for their
achievements in life.felicitation of Anaganwadi Sevika (Workers)
for their continuous work for children.
- Body Building programmes for youngsters are also been conducted.
- DYP Trust extends economic help to
gymnasiums,sportspersons,flood-affected peoples.
- Medical aid is also provided to the patients who are unable to
bear the cost of treatment.
