According to decision of State
government of Maharashtra [Dated 12-08-2004] Janshree Bima
Yojana is introduced for the labors from the unorganised sector
covering almost all the small scale businesses and domestic
jobs. Persons living below Poverty line or just above the
poverty line, from the age group from 18 years to 60 years are
entitled to be beneficiary of this scheme. The annual premium of
the scheme is fixed at Rs. 200/-, out of which Rs. 100/- are to
be paid from the social security fund of central government, Rs.
50/- to be paid by the State government and remaining Rs. 50/-
by the beneficiary.
Advantages of the Scheme
1. On the natural death of beneficiary, nominee will get Rs.
30,000/-.
2. In the case of accidental death nominee will get Rs.
75,000/-.
3. In the case of complete handicaped status caused due to
accident, beneficiary will get Rs. 75,000/-.
4. In the case of lost of both eyes or both hands and legs or
one eye and one arm and leg, beneficiary will get Rs. 75,000/-.
5. Beneficiary will be entitled for getting Rs. 37,500/- in the
case of accidental loss of one eye, one arm or one leg.
6. Children of beneficiary will be entitled for getting
education scholarship [Rs. 300 quarterly], under the Shikha
Sahyog Yojana for a peroid of 4 years of schooling from IX to
XII or for I T I on the condition of being passed every year.
This scheme is limited to two children. As the numbers of
scholarships are limited hence poor among poors get benefited
from this.
